Heart Wood Mental Health Charity
Are you living with poor mental health? Would you benefit from talking with and listening to other men? We offer person-centred therapy groups for men living with poor mental health. We hold monthly drop-in sessions in South West Northumberland throughout the Autumn and Winter and offer closed groups of up to 10 men in each group that meet weekly between April and August. We meet in a natural woodland setting. There's time to sit by the fire, have a cup of tea, chat and learn some woodland skills.
Heart Wood is a mental health charity based in Hexham, Northumberland. We offer person-centred therapeutic group counselling in a natural environment. We currently have a focus on working with men who are experiencing complex and enduring poor mental health. We specifically engage with men within our community who cannot engage with existing services. What we offer is unique and different - a quality intervention with small manageable group sizes that puts people in the lead.
Our sessions are held in private woodland in Minsteracres Retreat Centre (DH8 9RT). There is no charge for sessions and particpants are welcome to make a voluntary donation if they wish. Transport can be provided for participants living within Tyne Valley / Hexhamshire areas.
