Age UK Northumberland Friendship Line

Not having someone to talk to regularly can be lonely. A regular weekly chat on the telephone with a friendly volunteer can make all of the difference. The Friendship Line is a free telephone friendship service run by Age UK Northumberland for people aged 60 and over.

If you, or someone you know, would like a weekly friendly chat and you meet the criteria below, then please get in touch:

  • is aged 60 or over
  • feels lonely
  • lacks a social support network
  • is comfortable having a chat on the phone.
