Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS)

PALS, the Patient Advice and Liaison Service, is a free, confidential, NHS advice service for patients, their families and carers, of all ages, covering all NHS organisations and services in North Tyneside, Northumberland and Newcastle (also including, for the North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, the whole North East region). We will provide you with confidential advice and support if you have any concerns or queries about any aspect of your care.

The service aims to:

  • Provide advice to patients, their families and carers
  • Help resolve issues
  • Provide information on services
  • Signpost you to appropriate organisations to help you.

Who can use this service?

How are services delivered?

Anyone living in North Tyneside, Northumberland and Newcastle.

Generally our services are delivered via phone/email.  But, on occasions, we can arrange face-to-face appointments at a hospital site.
