Miners Lamp Community Cafe and Hub in the heart of Prudhoe, supporting individuals and families in Prudhoe, Mickley, Ovingham, Ovington, Wylam and Horsley. Eastwoods Park and our community cafe also offer budget friendly refreshments and a welcoming warm space. We offer free hot soup (winter months) if you need a warm meal and somewhere to charge a phone. We also provide a food bank in our area.

Our food bank is available for anyone in our community suffering financial hardship, you DO NOT have to be referred by another organisation. Simply get in touch. Food parcels will be delivered on a Tuesday each week but must be given to us by 5pm on a Monday.
Please note - Referrals into our foodbank are temporarily suspended until the end of August 2026.

How are services delivered?
We do not have our food bank situated at The Miners Lamp Cafe so can not give food out from those premises. They need to fill out a referral form located on our website or QR code in the cafe.
All enquiries need to be in by 5pm on a Monday and delivered on a Tuesday
