Samaritans: Veterans support

If you’re a veteran, serving member of the Armed Forces or a family member and need someone to talk to, we listen and won’t judge or tell you what to do. Whatever you're going through, you can contact us by FREE phone, email, the Samaritans Veterans App, letter or visiting a branch. Our dedicated helpline provides a safe and non-judgemental space for people who have served in the Armed Forces to talk about their experiences.

  • Call us FREE day or night, from any phone on 0808 175 3075.
  • Samaritans Veterans App is a free app that can provide you with emotional support after your career in the Armed Forces. Register or sign in to Samaritans Veterans App via your desktop
  • Email us. Sometimes writing down your thoughts and feelings can help you better understand them so email us at jo@samaritans.org.mailto:jo@samaritans.org  It may take several days to get a response.
  • Write a letter and send it to us at Freepost SAMARITANS LETTERS. We'll aim to reply in 7 days.
  • Visit a branch to meet face-to-face.
